Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

Are you an open minded creative individual? Do you enjoy the process of discovering new ways to do things? The Bates Communications Office is looking for a student to assist with visual projects that will involve website design, user interface exploration (UI), and creative brainstorming for new projects. 6-12 hours/week. Position duration through fall semester, with possible extension through winter semester and/or Short Term.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities


• The ability to express ideas visually through drawing, sketching, or other means • Interest in digital media such as websites and user interface (UI) design • Basic interest in visual communication and/or graphic design • Ability to remain focused and complete tasks independently • Willingness to learn new tasks such as photo manipulation or typesetting using Photoshop or other graphic design software • Bonus skills could include: Knowledge of CSS, HTML, and other web languages, and/or experience with WordPress, Photoshop, or any Adobe Creative Suite programs.
