Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

Dance Instructors will teach the above dance classes (Beginning Ballet, Intermediate Ballet, Jazz, and Tap) for Physical Education credit. Teachers must be able to prepare for their own classes. They may use their own music or music can be provided.

Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Take roll each class so students will receive PE credit
  • Responsible for seeing that the CD/tape deck is stored properly
  • Responsible for finding a replacement to teach your class if you are unable to teach

REQUIRED: EDUCATION: Instructors must have advanced level technique in their field. They must be able to execute technique and movement with clarity and clearly explain the movement and offer connections to the students as they need them. EXPERIENCE: Teaching experience
