GEO: Environmental Geochemistry Research Assistant (S9700C)
Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities
The Environmental Geochemistry Laboratory (EGL) houses a suite of state-of-the-art instrumentation used by students, faculty and staff in the departments of Geology, Biology, and Chemistry and the program in Environmental Studies.
Student Research Assistants work with other students, faculty and/or the manager of EGL to facilitate research and teaching projects in environmental science.
Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Sample preparation (e.g. wet chemical techniques applied to geological, biological, and archaeological materials)
- Glassware cleaning (wet techniques and muffle furnace)
- Data analysis
- Field work

REQUIRED:
EDUCATION: Research Assistants must have taken at least two intro-level science courses.
