Social media intern and event coordinator for the History Department
The History Department seeks the assistance of two capable Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors to serve jointly for AY 2017-2018 as the Social Media Editors and Event Coordinators for the Department. Responsibilities include assisting Profs. Ian Shin, Andrew Baker, and Joe Hall with maintaining the department’s Facebook page, creating content for the page, and soliciting student interest/membership in the Facebook page. Further responsibilities include organizing and promoting events hosted by the History Club.
Supervisor: Joseph Hall
Office Location: 113 Pettingill Hall
Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities
Qualifications: easy proficiency with Facebook (preferred proficiency with Twitter as well); good time-management capabilities; a readiness to work with faculty and students to coordinate content (for example, gathering photos for the webpage or soliciting short posts about Department events, etc.); and a keen interest in building a social and academic hub for members of the History Department.
Will work closely with Professors Ian Shin, Andrew Baker, and Joe Hall in the History Department.
Work will be at Bates College.
