Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The person(s) in this position monitors the Office of Intercultural Education (OIE), on weekdays after business hours from 5:00p.m.-10:00 p.m., and during weekends from 5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.. This position requires the ability to maintain safety and appropriate use of the building during evening and weekend hours of operation. Monitors in the evening will need to monitor use of the kitchen, (ensure students, staff and faculty clean up after their events and meetings), make sure that all furniture is in the proper position, windows are shut, the dishwasher is empty, and that the Intercultural Center is in a presentable condition before their shift is over. The Monitors will also help with set up and break down for events in the Intercultural Center sponsored by the OIE. Willingness to participate in the OIE programming is essential. Monitors will be an integral part of the OIE staffing structure and will participate in weekly OIE staff meetings.

Responsibilities


ENVIRONMENT: Intercultural Center

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The Monitor may be required to wash dishes, move furniture and lift boxes of materials.
