Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Student Assistant must be a responsible individual who can work independently. He or she will need to be available 7-11 each Tuesday evening, although it is unlikely that the duties will take this much time. The student will be responsible for taking attendance in Religion 100 and showing the student movies.

Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

The Student Assistant will take a movie out of the library and get the assigned classroom ready for viewing. He or she will take attendance when students arrive, and show the movie from 7:30PM to 10:30PM. The Student Assistant will be responsible for turning off the equipment, returning the movie to the library, and dropping off the completed attendance sheet at 75 Campus Ave. These responsibilities do not have to be done the same evening  (the movie can be picked up and dropped off at other times, etc.). The student does not have to remain in the room during the showing.

REQUIRED: EDUCATION: High School EXPERIENCE: Comfortable with simple A/V equipment (TV, computer, DVD player, etc.)

REPORTS TO: Faculty and staff of the Philosophy and Religion Department COORDINATES/WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Staff and students
