Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities
For home athletic games:
- Ball-chasers
- Score keepers
- Yard-markers
Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Chain crew members must maintain the start and end yard markers, move the markers down to where the official designates and maintain the clip markers as instructed by the officials.
- Ball crew members must remain at the sidelines with additional equipment. They Must be ready to respond to the directions of the officials and will retrieve balls that are out of play on the sidelines and end zones.
- Students must keep the equipment dry at all times, even during inclement weather.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities
Requirements
EXPERIENCE: Field Workers must have knowledge of the sport being played and be able
to follow directions and react quickly to the instructions of the hired
officials.

REPORTS TO: Jim Taylor
SUPERVISES: N/A
COORDINATES/WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Hired game officials and other crewmembers on the field
Responsibilities
ENVIRONMENT: Outdoors, often inclement weather
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: These students must be physically fit. The position requires constant movement on the sidelines when the game is in progress and these students must be able to keep up with the ball movement on the field.
