Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities
This student is responsible for overseeing Merrill Gym (admittance of people with Bates IDs only, and the overall cleanliness of the area).
Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Check all I.D.’s
- Issue pool passes
- Answer the telephone
- Provide general information
- Work with a large group of people
- Closing the building
- Closing the windows and shutting off lights
- Locking office doors and windows
Please Note: Monitors may have very late hours.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Monitors must be able to lift and setup tennis, volleyball, and badminton nets.
ENVIRONMENT: The Monitors will sit at the control desk in Merrill Gym and do work throughout the facility.
