Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Faculty Assistant will work independently in a confidential and busy department setting. He or she must be an energetic and responsible individual. He or she must also have excellent interpersonal and oral communications skills. The Faculty Assistant must be able to be informative about the department, college, and the community.

Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Assist with all aspects of office functions (answering phones, copying, faxing, filing, and getting supplies)
  • May provide courier service
  • Will work with faculty and staff of the Psychology Department
  • Provide a variety of office services to many diverse constituents
