BCO: Student Assistant to Graphic Design (S9913B)
Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities
Student must be work study eligible. The Student Assistant to Graphic Design assists Designers and other BCO staff with some basic graphic design for print and web. The student prepares files for pre-press output and uploading for print vendors
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with organization of filling projects and project management systems
- Assists other related tasks that support good organization of a busy design office
- Retrieves digital files from archives
- Makes photocopies and printouts of files
Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities
EDUCATION: Assistant to Graphic Designer must have a strong background in English, Computer literacy, typing, organizational skills, proofreading skills, and an art/design background.
EXPERIENCE: Assistant must have art or design experience, a sense of visual design, and familiarity with some of the following software packages: CS Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Wordpress.
DESIRED: EDUCATION: Assistant should have creative problem-solving skills and takes initiative; is prompt and organized; has the ability to work with others as a team; interacts well with on-campus clients; is reliable and manages time well.
COORDINATES / WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Design staff for print and web; other BCO staff; writers, photographers, and media relations.
