BIO: Summer Help-Animal Care Worker/Greenhouse (S9672C)
Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities
This position is available when the Bates College is on breaks or during the summer. This position is open for 2 workers that would be on campus for the summer or over the holidays.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Animal Care Worker responsibilities include feeding, watering and husbandry care for all animals in our facility. General housekeeping is required along with recording of work completed. Also dishes, stocking supplies are required in this position
- Greenhouse responsibilities include watering and general care of plants, dishes.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities
• Lab experience with animals helpful but not required. • Knowledge of plants and gardening experience helpful but not required
All workers will be reporting to Mary Hughes, supervisor. Workers are also needed to be team players when working with other employees and also be able to work independently.
Working in the greenhouse and animal colony requires lifting 50 lbs. Both positions require working with lab equipment, running the autoclave
