Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities
The Master Sound Technician/Designer sets up sound equipment for all Theater department shows and other shows that are under the direction of the Technical Director. There is also a possibility for the person holding this position to design sound for shows.
Please Note: Some night and weekend commitment is necessary.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities
Requirements
The master sound technician must be a Bates student with a background in music and an understanding of audio equipment. It is also desired that the student has successfully completed Theater 132 course in the past.
Reporting
Reports to Technical Director and Assistant Technical Director.
Responsibilities
Works in Schaeffer Theater, Gannet Theater, and Black Box and frequently uses the tape deck, mini-disk, and CD burner.
