Lafayette Street Softball Diamond, which was completed in the Spring 2001 as a part of a large athletic facilities construction project worth $4 million, is the home of Bates Varsity Softball Team. It feature enclosed dugouts, an outdoor batting cage and a removable fence that will allow use as an out-of-season practice space.
