How can you get the most out of your campus visit? First, plan ahead. Then, realize it's your job to figure out the difference between Bates and other colleges you've visited. Make a list of questions, study the campus map, and lastly, meet as many students as possible. Batesies love to share their stories, and their perspective is one you shouldn't miss.

When Should You Visit?
The best time to visit campus is during our academic year or during Fall Open Houses. To attend a specific class during your visit, check out our course schedule. Learn about various performances or athletic events by consulting our monthly calendar.  To meet with athletics coaches, faculty members in a special department, or directors of activities such as debate, music, or theater, please email the professor or coach directly.

Interviews
Prospective students have the opportunity to interview on campus or with an alumni interviewer in their area. If you choose not to interview, you may be placing yourself at a disadvantage in the application process. Interviews may be scheduled weekdays from 9am to 3pm, between June 1 of the junior year and November 15 of the senior year.  Interviews last 30 - 45 minutes and are conducted in Lindholm House, the Admissions Office. Parking is directly adjacent to Lindholm. To schedule an interview, please call 207-786-6000.
