- A non-refundable $60 Application Fee (We accept requests for fee waivers from appropriate school officials. Students who are not citizens of the United States are not required to submit a fee or fee waiver request.)
Bates may also require:
- Early Decision Contract (This is only for students who wish to apply for Early Decision)
- Optional Arts Form (please use this Bates-specific form instead of the standard one offered by the Common Application)
- Optional Athletics Form
- Bates Financial Statement for International Students (If you are not a U.S. citizen, this form is required whether or not you’re applying for financial aid.)
For those who choose to submit the application online:
- If you exceed the character limit on the essay set forth by CommonApp.org, your essay may be cut off. We strongly recommend that you "preview" your application prior to submission. To ensure that we read your entire essay, please consider submitting a paper copy by mail with your application fee.
- If you experience problems downloading or viewing the downloadable Bates Supplement, try the following:
