Bates senior Allie Beaulieu was named Maine Co-Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 25.0 points, 6.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds for the Bobcats in a 1-1 week.
The Bates women’s basketball team overcame a 13-point deficit in the second half to tie the game with 3:58 left, but host Middlebury’s late 12-0 run propelled the Panthers to a 75-64 win in the quarterfinals of the 2013 NESCAC Women’s Basketball Championship.
When tiebreakers came into play to decide the seeding for this weekend’s NESCAC Championship Quarterfinals, the Bobcats fared quite well: Bates receives the fifth seed in the tournament, and will play at fourth-seeded Middlebury on Saturday at 4pm.
