Anderson, Mandzhukova bow out in NCAA Round of 16

Senior Meg Anderson and first-year Elena Mandzhukova came up short in their quest for All-America honors against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps duo Kristin Lim and Jessie Huang at the NCAA Division III Tennis Championships, as Lim and Huang advanced to the quarterfinals with a 6-2, 6-2 win.

Gastonguay, Janssen receive ITA regional coach of the year awards

Bates College head tennis coach Paul Gastonguay was named Northeast Region Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year Monday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, while assistant coach Greg Janssen earned Northeast Region Coach of the Year honors in both men’s and women’s tennis.
