Kathryn Moore

2006-2007: Co-Captain of indoor and outdoor track teams…Indoor Track: Won the 1000m run at Tufts on Jan. 20th with a time of 3:03.8 which qualified her for the New England Division III, ECAC and Open New England championships and was also a member of the winning Distance Medley team….at the Terrier’s Classic Moore qualified for NCAA Div. III Championships in the 5000m with a time of 17:27.28, the second fastest in Bates history…qualified for NCAA Division III Championships for her personal record performance in the one mile run at the State Championship… finished 10th in the 5000-meter run at the NCAA Division III Championships in a time of  17:37.31, and anchored the Distance Medley relay team which became the first Bates All-American relay team. Outdoor Track:  At home on April 7th, Moore was first place in the 1500m run at 4:47.01, qualifying her to compete in the NESCAC, New England Division III and ECAC championships…on the 14th she qualified for NCAAs in the 3000m steeplechase with her second place finish….at NESCACs Moore was on the third place 4X800 relay team and also finished third in the steeplechase….at New Englands she placed third in the 1500m run with a time of 4:40.25 narrowly missing the qualifying time for NCAAs…ran 10:33.20 in the steeplechase qualifying her for the NCAA Division III Championships at Wisconsin-Oshkosh on the 24th of May.

2005-2006: Co-captain of indoor and outdoor track teams…Indoor Track Season: Qualified for New England Division III Championships in the 1500 meters (4:52.6) at the USM Invitational on January 14th…Ran eighth-fastest 3,000 meters time in Bates history (10:28.7) at Tufts Invitational on January 21st, qualifying for Open New Englands…At the State of Maine Championships at Bates on February 3rd, achieved season personal records in the 1,000 meters (3:09.09) and 1,600 meters (5:13.40)…Achieved season personal record in the 3,000 meters at New England Division III Championships (10:12.31), running the second-fastest 3,000 meter time in Bates history…Ran 5,000 meters season personal record in the Trinity Last Chance Meet on March 3rd (17:33.09), the third-fastest time in Bates history…Outdoor Track Season: Broke own school record in the 3,000 meter steeple chase at the Tufts Snowflake Classic on April 1st (11:03.22), winning the race…At the Aloha Relays at Bowdoin on April 22nd, achieved season personal record in the 1,500 meters (4:47.61), the third-best time in Bates history…At the Penn Relays on April 27th, achieved season personal record in the steeple chase (10:50.24), again breaking her own school record…Competed in the 1,500 meters at NESCAC Championships on April 29th at Bowdoin (4:47.61)…At New England Division III Championships on May 6th, won the 3,000 meter steeple chase (11:02.64)… At the Open New England Championships on May 13th, ran season personal record in the 5,000 meters (17:33.49)…Again selected as captain for the 2006-2007 seasons…
