Latest NewsDenver, Thomas named All-NESCAC in women's lacrosse 5/7/2008
It is the first All-NESCAC honor for both Denver (Needham, Mass.) and Thomas (Barrington, R.I.). Denver had a stellar season as the Bobcats' (7-7) vocal leader on defense. One of the smartest players on the team, Denver proved herself to be an excellent takeaway defender, who led the team in caused turnovers with 23. Thomas led the Bobcats in scoring with the team's highest offensive numbers in three years, with 38 goals and 15 assists, after posting 21 goals and 11 assists as a sophomore. A shifty attacker with excellent field vision and stick skills, Thomas created scoring opportunities for Bates as both a dodger and feeder. She ranked fifth in the NESCAC in points, fifth in goals per game (2.71) and 10th in assists per game (1.07). View the NESCAC 2008 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference release (PDF) |
