Antinarelli tied a Bates single-season record with nine shutouts in 2003.

LEWISTON, Maine – Lynne Antinarelli and Catherine Crosby were both First-Team All-New England women's soccer selections when the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s Division III all-region teams were announced on Friday morning.

Antinarelli '04 (Bedford, Mass.) took over as the starting goalkeeper for the Bobcats this fall, earning a First-Team All-NESCAC selection. She tied the Bates single-season record with nine shutouts, posting a 0.82 goals against average and a .806 save percentage. Antinarelli helped the Bobcats advance to the championship game of the NESCAC Championship with shutouts against Trinity and Bowdoin in the first and second rounds, respectively.

Crosby '04 (Lincoln, Mass.) earned a NEWISA Second-Team All-Region spot last week. A First-Team All-NESCAC midfielder, Crosby was the Bobcats' second-leading scorer with 18 points on six goals and six assists. She scored game-winning goals against the University of New England and nationally-ranked Middlebury.

Bates finished the 2003 season 12-3-2, beating three nationally ranked teams and earning a spot in the NSCAA national rankings four times, peaking at 13th. The Bobcats advanced to the championship game of the NESCAC Championship tournament for the first time in program history, beating top-seeded Bowdoin, ranked 15th nationally at the time, in the semifinals before losing to Amherst in the tournament championship.
