Latest NewsWomen's squash beats Middlebury for third place in NESCAC 2/7/2010 HARTFORD, Conn. -- The Bates College women's squash team downed Middlebury 6-3 at Trinity College on Sunday at the NESCAC Squash Championships, to finish third in the conference for the third time in the tournament's four-year history. The No. 3 seed Bates women (17-7), ranked No. 11 in the College Squash Association, defeated the No. 4 seed Panthers, ranked No. 13 nationally, on the strength of wins by first-year Cheri-Ann Parris (St. Philip, Barbados) at the No. 1 spot, senior Hannah Laverty (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) at No. 2, sophomore Mimi Neal (Danvers, Mass.) at No. 4, junior Stephanie Cabot (Dover, Mass.) at No. 6, junior Anna Hogeland (Williamstown, Mass.) at No. 7 and senior Morgan Maciewicz (Marblehead, Mass.) at No. 9.
