Creswell Finishes 110th at NCAA Cross Country Championship

Creswell has been an individual qualifier for NCAA's for the last two years.

HANOVER, Ind. – Katherine Creswell finished in 110th place at the NCAA Division III women's cross country championship held at the L.S. Ayres Complex on Saturday afternoon.

Creswell '05 (Portland, Ore.) covered the 6-kilometer course in 23:54.2, finishing in the middle of the 213-runner field. Creswell's performance is an improvement on her showing at NCAA's last season, when she placed 151st.

Wartburg's Missy Buttry repeated as the individual champion, winning the race in 20:02.2 to beat her nearest competitor by 63 seconds.

Middlebury won the team competition with 135 points, 39 points ahead of second-place Trinity.

Creswell was one of nine individual qualifiers to represent the New England Region at the national championship meet. The NCAA field is comprised of 24 teams of up to seven individuals and 47 additional individuals determined through regional competition.
