Noonday Concert Series to continue at Bates

LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates College Noonday Concert series continues its fall season with a selection of programs throughout the month of November and beginning of December. The free concerts, open to the public, will be held Tuesdays from l2:30 to l p.m. at the college's Olin Arts Concert Hall, located on Russell Street in Lewiston.

Tenor John Corrie and Mark Howard, piano, will perform songs by Schubert, Schumann, Brahms and Strauss Nov. 9. Bates senior Charles Granquist, tenor, and John Corrie, piano, will perform Nov. 16. Amy Beal, piano, will perform pieces by contemporary composers Nov. 30. Justin Lloyd, trumpet, and Mark Howard, piano, will conclude the fall season with a program that features a Paul Hindemith sonata Dec. 7. Noonday programs begin again Jan. 11.
