Maine Chamber Ensemble to perform at Bates

LEWISTON, Maine -- The Maine Music Society's Maine Chamber Ensemble will perform a concert of Haydn, Vivaldi and Carter at Bates College (Saturday) Sept. 25 at 8 p.m.in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall. Tickets purchased in advance are $15 for adults and $14 for senior citizens. Admission at the door is $17.50 for both adults and seniors. Students may purchase tickets at half price, and admission for children 12 and under, accompanied by an adult, is free. The 90-minute program has a 15-minute intermission and will feature Haydn's "Drum Roll Symphony" and Vivaldi's Concerto for Flute, Oboe and Bassoon. Women of the Androscoggin Chorale will join the Maine Chamber Ensemble to perform Carter's "The Harmony of Morning."
