Alumni attending Reunion 2006 enjoyed revelry, fellowship and a chance to honor their own. Awards granted by the Alumni Association recognized service to Bates and to the world, including honors for a former president of the American Medical Association and a retired U.S. diplomat. Elsewhere, on the golf course, on campus throughout the weekend, or remembering friends during Sunday's memorial service, alumni re-entered Bates life for a happy three days.
