Q: Is there Potassium salt available anywhere in commons?
A: No there is not. Thanks for writing.
Q: Dear Dining Representative,
Could we please have the ceramic coffee cups back in order to enjoy a civilized cup of coffee, one that does not constantly remind me that I am in college and does not smell of the last holders beverage? Thank you.
A: The ceramic cups will make a come back. They will be placed on the low
ceiling side of Commons by the beverage station there. Thanks for writing.
Q: As requested last year, could we please have some plain cinnamon in the spice cabinet? There are 3 containers of cinnamon & sugar, but no plain cinnamon. Some of us do not want sugar with it, especially in my apple sauce at 7AM. Thanks.
A: Can do. Thanks for writing.
Q: The Plain baked Talapia Filets that were served the other day were wonderful! It was so nice to have fish cooked "just the way it is" with no added sauces, cheeses, glazes, and cremes...please serve more plain cooked fish like this! Thanks so much!
A: Glad you liked it. Thanks for writing.
Q: Thank-You!Thank-You!Thank-You! For having PLAIN Bulgur Wheat at the salad bar at supper time! Please do this more often!
A: Yes, and you are welcome. Thanks for writing.
Q: I was so excited the other day when the menu said that there would be steamed wild rice at the vegan bar...however, to my dismay when I got to dinner there was only white rice at the vegan bar...Could there please be more Whole Grain Stemed Brown Rice and Steamed Wild Rice offered! Thanks so much!
A: Most certainly. Thanks for writing.
Q: More broccoli please. I love steamed broccoli, but I don't like it with the cheese.
A: Can do. Thanks for writing.

Q: Dear Commons,
Your menu includes a lot of south east asian, mexican and creole delicacies which caters to a wide array of tastes. However it is utterly devoid of Indian food. It would be awesome if you could include some Indian food as well. The Indian cuisine offers so many non-veg and veg options and a whole array of different breads and sweets. Kindly consider this request.
A: This is no problem at all. Look for some new menu items. Thanks for writing.
Q: Hi, I was wondering if we could make sure to have grape jelly out at all 3 meals. Tonight I went to dinner at 6:20 and it was already put away. Additionally, I find that in the morning (7:30) it often hasn't been put out yet. I am allergic to berries, so grape jelly is my only option. Thanks a bunch.
A: Can do. Thanks for writing.
September 19, 2006:
Q: Thanks so much for the Vegan Chocolate Chip cookies today!! Can we have vegan deserts more often?
A: Your welcome and yes. Thanks for writing.
September 17, 2006:

Q: Greetings!
I definitely approve of the new mugs. They are much more fashionable than the paper cups and ceramic mugs, and certainly more user-friendly. I enjoy that they are large, enabling you to have a lot of coffee/tea/hot chocolate by using only one container.
My plea to students: bring your mugs back to Commons where they belong instead of keeping them in your room or leaving them in Ladd or P'gill.
A: Thanks for your support.
Q: In the mornings you have the little mandarin slices with the other breakfast fruits, can you have the mandarin slices at the salad bar for lunch and dinner too? They're so wonderful! Thank you.
A: We can certainly make sure that they are put on the dinner rotation more often. Thanks for writing.
September 12, 2006:
Q: Please offer more plain STEAMED veggies at dinner...without the sauces, glazes, spices and syrups! (for instance more broccoli, carrotts, cauliflower, zuccinni, summer squash, maybe asparagus...instead of day after day of corn)
A: There is at least one steamed vegetable at every meal and more often
then not two. I have forwarded this request to the menu committee and
will be following up with them. Thanks for writing.
Q: Can there be more plain steamed brown rice and plain steamed wild rice instead of so much white rice and rice pilaf...? Perhaps more Bulgur Wheat too! We love our whole grains! Thanks!
A: Have you checked the Vegan Bar? These items are commonly served from this venue. Thanks for writing.
Q: Would it be at all possible to offer "plain" options every night for those of us that cannot tolerate everything glazed in heavy sauce...for instance offer just plain salmon or just plain haddock for people who cannot have it "orange glazed" or "parmesean-caesar crusted"...?
A: We will be offering a plain option at dinner every night. Thanks for writing.
Q: Can you please put grilled chicken in the salad bar? its hard to eat healthy and still take in enough protein...please!
A: Check the hot line. Thanks for writing.
Q: I love the new travel mugs and I think that they're a great addition to commons. I was wondering if it would be possible to still have the little ceramic mugs too? They're the perfect size for a cup of after-dinner coffee, and I also like them for a cup of soup at lunch time. Thanks and keep up the good work!!
A: Sorry, but the ceramic mugs will not be making a comeback. Perhaps you
would just use a SOUP bowl soup and only fill the new mug 1/2 for your
after dinner coffee. Thanks for writing.

Q: Hi. I really like the Lite Wheat Bread, but it's only available once in a while, and only for lunch. Would it be possible to have it available more often?Especially at dinnertime. Thank you.
A: No problem. Thanks for writing.
Q: The BBQ's have been terrible as usual, but all other things have improved! There actually was a whole, intact eggplant to be found in 9/10 dinner's eggplant parmesan. Really appreciate it, keep up the good work!
PS thanks for the peaches and plums, too :)
A: Thanks for noticing that we are trying. Keep writing.
Q: Would it be possible to get Hazelnut/Toasted Almond/any similar flavor coffee in commons? Thanks.
A: We try and steer clear of any nut coffees for allergy reasons. Thanks for writing.
Q: Hello! I have been abroad from the year and coming back I just want to let you know how much I missed our Dining Hall! I want to thank you for it all! Also, I was wondering what the nutritional information for the new sesame ginger dressing is. It's delicious. Thanks!
A: Glad you like it. The nutritional information is as follows:

Q: I've been gone for a semester, and upon my return, the chocolate
soymilk, that lovely beverage which makes my days worthwhile, is missing.
Has it been taken out of the rotation, or is it simply MIA?
A: Perhaps you absence has made your memory fuzzy - we have never had chocolate soy milk. Perhaps you have us confused with Hannaford. Thanks for writing.
