Bates assesses a single comprehensive fee that includes tuition, room and board.  For the 2007-2008 academic year, the comprehensive fee is $46,800.  For billing purposes, half is assessed for fall semester and half for winter.

Bills are mailed prior to the due date each semester.  Additional statements are mailed on a monthly basis for outstanding balances and/or new charges.  These amounts are due by the 25th of the month.  Bills are not sent for credit or zero balances. 

Students whose accounts are delinquent may become ineligible to register for classes, receive grades and transcripts, choose campus housing, receive financial aid for future semesters, return to Bates for a subsequent semester, or graduate.

Semester invoices and monthly bills are mailed in the student's name to the student's home address.  A student may elect to have the bill sent to parents, guardians, grandparents, or others by so indicating on the Garnet Gateway secure records system.
