- Not signing a paper copy of their letter.
- Not including a home address or date.
- Using informal language.
- Using indented paragraphs.
- Not using proper capitalization.
- Using casual fonts and/or emoticons.
- Unfocused or rambling text.
- No ‘Encl: resume’ at end of letter.
- Not PROOFED – Spell Check does NOT catch everything!
