Early January -  Invitations sent out to former and potential sponsors.

January 31 - Final sponsor listings due at the OCS.

February 28 - Student resumes, cover letters and additional information due at the OCS.

Early March -  Student application materials mailed to sponsors.

End of March -  Sponsors’ names, addresses and phone numbers shared with applicants who have not heard from sponsors to date.

Early April -  Deadline by which sponsors’ intern choices must be submitted to OCS and ALL APPLYING INTERNS must be notified of the sponsors’ decision.

Mid-April -  Copy of intern’s confirmation letter from sponsor stating dates of internship and salary/stipend information must be submitted to the OCS.

Early May through End of August -  Internship period. Minimum of 320 hours spread over 12 weeks. Scheduling options are flexible.

End of September -  Evaluations due from sponsors; also sponsor letters requesting Bates’ share of the stipend due.
