Rob Stockwell '07

Bates senior forward Rob Stockwell (Temple, N.H.) had 19 points and 13 rebounds, including 17 and 12 in the first half alone, and Bates parlayed a 47-17 halftime lead into a 78-55 win over Southern Maine on Tuesday.

He shot 9-of-14 from the floor, including 1-for-2 on three-pointers. With 1,170 career points, Stockwell moved into 14th on Bates' all-time scorers list.

Sarah Barton '08

Bates junior stat-sheet-filler Sarah Barton (Portsmouth, N.H.) had 10 points, nine assists, six rebounds and three steals in 35 minutes of action in Bates' 87-77 loss to national finalist University of Southern Maine on Tuesday.

Barton, a preseason Fourth Team All-America selection by D3Hoops.com, is averaging 12.0 points, 9.3 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals thus far this season for the 2-1 Bobcats, a youthful team who showed poise and promise against the Huskies by outscoring the Huskies 20-9 over a six and a half minute part of the second half to slice its deficit to just five points, 75-70, with 5:30 to play.
