Bates offers need-based financial aid to all admitted students who demonstrate eligibility according to our guidelines.  Families who think they may need financial aid at any time during their child's college career are encouraged to apply for financial aid. 

While applying for financial aid may seem daunting, most applicants need provide only the following - the FAFSA, CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (and Non-custodial PROFILE, if applicable), and copies of parent and student federal tax returns and W-2 forms.  Families with more complicated financial circumstance may be asked to provide additional information.  What's most important is that you file your application materials by the applicable deadline, so that we can determine your eligibility and offer you the financial aid for which you qualify.
