The amount assessed for a student studying off-campus depends on the relationship between Bates and the program in which the student enrolls.  Students may be assessed the Bates comprehensive fee, or may be assessed only an off-campus study registration fee.  To determine the charge for specific programs, please click on the links to the left of this paragraph.

Fees that are assessed by Bates must be paid according to the billing schedule for students studying on campus.  Students who are on an approved leave of absence for study elsewhere in the United States are not assessed a fee.
