Ballroom dance party to be held at Bates Oct. 3

LEWISTON, Maine -- "Fall into the Swing of Things," a ballroom dancing swing party with music provided by a professional disc jockey, will be held at Bates College Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in Chase Hall Lounge. Neither partners nor formal attire is required, and coffee and dessert will be available. Free swing dance lessons will be offered from 8 to 9 p.m. Admission for the dance is $5 per person, and proceeds will benefit the Bates dancesport competition team.
