eRecruiting - How to apply to a Ladd Internship

To logon to eRecruiting:

Go to www.bates.edu/career and click on the "eRecruiting" link.

Enter your Bates email address as your username and eRecruiting  password to logon.  (If you do not know your password, please click "Forgot your Password" in the upper right hand corner.  Your credentials will be sent to your Bates email address)

The first time you use this system, you will be asked to fill in some required fields – this is for the Office of Career Services (OCS) use only.  It’s important to complete as many profile fields as possible.  The OCS makes opportunities available to you, in part, by the data in your profile, and you may update this data at any time.  Make sure that you click "save" when you have completed your profile.

SEARCH THE 2007 LADD INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

Once your profile is finished, scroll down to the Job & Internship Search square,

  1. Click on the Internship button.
  2. Click on the Keywords field and type in ‘Ladd’.
  3. Click on the box “Show only jobs from my Career Center”.
  4. Click on Search, and review the 2007 Ladd Internship position listings.
  5. You can navigate between the profile, job and contact by clicking on the respective word under the employer name.

APPLICATION MATERIALS:

For every Ladd Internship you wish to apply for, you will need to upload and submit two items: (1) a resume; (2) a cover letter.  The system requires that you have both document uploaded before you may apply.

UPLOAD YOUR RESUME and COVER LETTER:

  1. Go to "Documents" in the gray box at the top.
  2. Click on drop box "Upload Documents" & select the document type you wish to upload.
  3. Click "Browse"
  4. Choose File will appear. Find your document, highlight it, & click "Open".
  5. Click "Upload".  It may take a minute for the document to convert. At the bottom of the screen it will show you your document. As soon as it says "Ready" in the status column, you can use the document.

Follow the same steps for your cover letter, or writing sample.

NOW YOU NEED TO APPLY:

Just because you uploaded your materials does not mean that you have applied! 

To search for the Ladd employer you wish to apply to in the database.

  1. Click on their job that you are applying to.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Apply" button.
  3. Once in the Apply section, click on the drop menu for each application item (resume, cover letter).
  4. When all correct materials are highlighted, click "submit" and you are done.
