Wake the Neighbors to perform contradance at Bates

LEWISTON, Maine -- Wake the Neighbors, a Lewiston-based contradance quartet, will perform with caller John McIntire at Bates College Friday, Sept. 18, from 8:30 p.m. to midnight in Chase Hall Lounge. The contradance requires no fixed partner and is sponsored by the Bates College Freewill Folk Society. General admission is $4 and $2 for students and seniors. Soft-soled shoes are recommended.

Wake the Neighbors, specializing in contemporary and traditional Irish, Scottish, French-Canadian and New England dance music, features Ed Howe on fiddle; John Cote on mandolin, guitar and feet; Anthony Shostak on banjo, bodhran and didjeridoo; and Lissa Schneckenburger on fiddle.
