Noonday concerts to resume at Bates

LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates College Noonday Concert Series, featuring weekly performances by Bates faculty and students, resumes on Sept. 15 when harpsichordist John Corrie performs Preludes and Fugues 1-5 from Bach's "Well Tempered Clavier, Book I."

The free concerts, open to the public, will be held on Tuesdays from 12:30 to l p.m. at the college's Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, located on Russell Street in Lewiston.

Two other Noonday concerts are scheduled for the month of September. On Sept. 22, Greg Boardman & Friends will perform a program of classic American fiddle music. The artist for the Sept. 29 concert will be announced.
