The Harward Center for Community Partnerships is currently seeking nominations from Bates students, employees, and community partners for the first annual Harward Center for Community Partnerships Awards Celebration.
Firmly rooted in the academic purpose of the College, the Center serves as a focal point for connected learning that fuses academic discussion and community. In union with this mission, award recipients will be people who connect the College with the larger community through collaboration, research, and service.
We are seeking nominations for 11 awards.
- The Harward Center Student Award for Outstanding Community-Based Academic Work
- The Harward Center Award for Outstanding Community Volunteerism and Student Leadership
- The Harward Center Faculty Award for Outstanding New Community Partnership Initiative
- The Harward Center Faculty Award for Sustained Commitment to Community Partnership
- The Harward Center Staff Award for Outstanding Support of Community Partnerships
- The Harward Center Staff Award for Outstanding Community Volunteerism
- The Harward Center Community Partner Award for Outstanding New Initiative
- The Harward Center Community Partner Award for Sustained Commitment to Partnership
- The Harward Center Award for Outstanding Community Project/Partnership
- The Bates – Morse Mountain Award for Environmental Stewardship
- The Bates – Morse Mountain Award for Environmental Lifetime Achievement
NOMINATION SHEETS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, APRIL 13th, 2007.
Nomination sheets can be downloaded by clicking on the appropriate award category to the right.
Please include a brief biographical summary of the person(s) you are nominating as well as a list of the specific ways in which her or his commitment to community collaboration has been evidenced. Each sheet should also include complete contact information both for the nominator and for the nominee (i.e., addresses, phone/fax numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.). You may nominate people in any of the categories but please do not feel obligated to nominate someone in all of the categories.
