The Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) program is similar to the MSTP, except that it is for underrepresented minority students. Grants are given to schools whose students are primarily from underrepresented minorities. The schools then distribute the money so selected students can pursue studies leading to Ph.D. and a research career.
