Updating Anti-Virus Programs

Cisco Clean Access Agent (CCAA) grants temporary internet access to allow updating of anti-virus software definition files for the following anti-virus software programs only: Norton, McAffee, and Sophos. The instructions below are steps for updating each of these products.
This does not include Windows Updates.

Norton Anti-virus:

• Open Norton Anti-virus from Start > All Programs > Norton Anti-virus
  Be sure auto-protect is ON
• Click on Live Update
• Click Next
• Updates will be downloaded from the Symantec website, then installed and applied to the computer. A restart may be necessary

• Click Finish

  Login to CCAA to see if full access is granted

McAfee:

• Right click the McAfee icon in system tray and select Updates
• Click Check Now
• Click Update

• Updates will be downloaded from the McAfee website and will be installed on the computer. A restart may be necessary for all updates to be applied.

Sophos:

• Right Click on the Blue Shield icon for Sophos in the system tray
• Left Click on Update Now

• Updates will be downloaded from the Bates server and installed on the computer. A restart may be necessary to apply all updates.
