CCAA Network Instructions: Macintosh

NOTE: Do not upgrade to Macintosh Snow Leopard operating system 10.6 is not currently supported. 

A. First IMPORTANT step in connecting to the network, download the Bates Certificate:

  1. Open Safari or Firefox web browser and when the SNAP page opens, click on install bates certificate button [located below login for username and password] 

B. In Safari:

  1. Click the link Certificate Authority (CA) Certificate

C. In Firefox:

Hold down the ctrl key on the keyboard and click the link Certificate Authority (CA) Certificate. Select to Download Linked File.

On the desktop should be a file called ca.crt. Double click on this file.



  1. Key chain access  will open and a window called Add Certificate appears.
  2. Click the Keychain drop down menu and select X509Anchors.

    NOTE: Leopard operating system should be updated to: OS X (10.5.1+) in order to pass CCAA. Click on the SNAP page and download the Bates certificate, double click on it in the list of downloads, and then add to Login, (not X509Anchors), and click ok. Click to Always Trust this certificate.



  3. Click Ok
  4. Enter your password for this computer
  5. Quit  Keychain Access
  6. Open a web browser and attempt to go to google.com
  7. Login to the SNAP authentication page using your Bates username and password

Click the button Download Clean Access Agent



Double click on the file on the Desktop called CCAAgent_MacOSX.tar.gz

  1. Hold down the Control key (ctrl) on the keyboard and click on the BatesCCAAll-in-one.mpkg file
  2. Select to Show Package Contents
   

Double click on the Contents Folder

Double click on the Packages Folder

Double click on the CCAAgent.pkg file

Follow the onscreen instructions to install the Cisco Clean Access Agent.

In the upper right hand corner of your screen, click on the small brown square icon and select login.


Enter your Bates username and password and click login
