The Volunteer Program in the Harward Center for Community Partnerships is not formally affiliated with the Chaplain's Office, but the two offices do work collaboratively on some volunteer programs.

The Volunteer Program places interested students in rewarding service projects and internships in the Lewiston-Auburn community. The volunteer coordinator works with four student fellows to provide students with opportunities for public service and career- and self-exploration. Bates students volunteer through numerous student-run programs in local service agencies, businesses, and government offices.

Please note: Participants undertake volunteer service in any of the opportunites coordinated by the Volunteer Office at their own risk and liability.

The Volunteer Program Coordinator's office is located at 161-163 Wood St., in the Harward Center for Community Partnerships.
