Melinda Plastas is a visiting assistant professor in the Politics Department and Women and Gender Studies Program. Her research and teaching interests include the politics of race and gender in U.S. women’s social movements. She is currently completing a book about the interracial women’s peace movement in the U.S. after World War I. Her other research investigates how gender and race inform the transnational politics of the tobacco industry from 1950 to the present.
