Significant financial support is available for Bates Summer Scholars, with all program costs covered plus a stipend.  Students selected to participate in the program earn $2,400. Tuition, books, room, and board are provided. Funds are also available for support of travel expenses to and from the program. Summer Scholars who live beyond driving distance to Bates may have their flight arrangement made by the College. Students should plan to bring summer spending money to cover modest expenses. Stipends are paid biweekly through the Bates payroll.
