Student organization pages live on a UNIX server and may not be housed on Ingeniux CMS (Xpower). No official staff support is available for student organization Web sites. Consult the ILS tips helpsheet on creating a club web site. Posting a student organization page involves the following steps: Page Creation. You can prepare the page(s) yourself, or find a Web-savvy student who is willing to help your organization. You may also contact the I.T. Club to request assistance. There are many excellent resources for learning how to create Web pages (see sidebar for details). Get permissions from Jane Frizzell (jfrizzel). She will create a directory for your organization on the UNIX server if needed. Link to the Bates site: If your site is new, or your URL has changed, please inform the Communications office (webcoordinator@bates.edu). We will link to you from the list of student organizations. |
