Bates volunteers will join forces with Rhode Island’s Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, spending the day working on the construction site of a local Habitat house in the Greater Providence area. Dress appropriately for a construction site (work boots or sneakers and work gloves suggested). All tools are provided on the site. However, you can bring your own if you wish and it is always good to have an extra carpenter's pencil and a tape measure. All Habitat for Humanity projects follow the well-established model of blending skilled and unskilled volunteers into teams to build homes from the ground up.
