PRINCETON, N.J. -- Williams College defeated Bates 9-0 Saturday at Princeton University in the College Squash Association Women's Nationals Potter (B) Division semifinals.

No. 13 seed Bates (11-10) will play Mount Holyoke Sunday at 2 p.m. at Princeton's Jadwin Gymnasium to determine 11th and 12th place in the final CSA rankings.

Despite the lopsided final score, several Bobcats put forth very competitive efforts. Taking their Eph opponents to four games were sophomore Whitney Roller (Haverford, Pa.) at No. 5, junior Margot Webel (Locust Valley, N.Y.) at No. 7 and junior Sophie Runquist (Kent, Conn.) at No. 9. Senior captains Charlotte Gerrish (Rye, N.Y.) and Caroline Lemoine (Natick, Mass.) took their opponents at the 3 and 4 spots to a 10th point in one game apiece.
