Helen Boucher is an Assistant Professor in Psychology. She received her B.A. at the University of Illinois (Chicago) and her Ph.D. at the University of California (Berkeley), both in Psychology. Her research interests broadly concern social influences on the self. Specific projects include the role of culture in self-knowledge, self-evaluation, and the pursuit of uniqueness in identity; the role of important others in self-regulation; and the effect of mortality salience on aspects of self-knowledge.
