Men's tennis defeats NYU at Middlebury Invitational

2008 MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Playing in the Middlebury Invitational, the Bates College men's tennis team defeated New York University 8-1 on Saturday night before falling 9-0 to the host Panthers on Sunday. The Bobcats rose to 3-1 on the year with their defeat of the Violets on Saturday. Junior Ben Stein (Pelham, N.Y.), sophomore Amrit Rupasinghe (Colombo, Sri Lanka), sophomore Michael Reiss (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) and sophomore Zach Fenno (Armonk, N.Y.) all won at both singles and doubles to pace the Bobcats.
