The host Mountain Hawks evened their season record at 9-9 while Bates dropped to 4-8 while staying at 4-6 against Division III competition. Bates senior Cecilia Grissa (Doylestown, Pa.) won in straight sets at No. 1 singles over Lehigh's Ariela Cohen, 7-5, 6-4, after teaming up with sophomore Alex Piacquad (Yardley, Pa.) to win 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. Also winning for the Bobcats were junior Caryn Benisch (Huntington, N.Y.) at No. 3 singles and sophomore Jean Gulliver (Falmouth, Maine) at No. 6 singles. Senior Mallike Raghavan (Chappaqua, N.Y.) fell in three sets at No. 4 singles.
