Iconic singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega will be in residence at Bates College for two days, working with students in a variety of mediums as well as performing two concert sets on Saturday January 23rd at 7pm and 9:30pm.

Returning from last season’s triumphant pair of concerts featuring six of Beethoven’s quartets, The Berlin based Auryn Quartet will continue its Beethoven Quartet cycle for us and again provide selections of the composers early and middle and late period works within each concert. Describing the quartet’s complete recording of the Beethoven quartets a reviewer from Gramophone was inspired to say;” There is no shortage of great and famous Beethoven cycles, but there are no performances such as these. For me, this is now the set to beat."
